Health and Fitness

As a proud alumni member of Toronto Schools on the Move, we foster a school culture where every student is encouraged to discover the joy of movement. Our inclusive programs include Health Hustle, seasonal Kilometre Club, Running Club, Healthy Nut Award, Houseleague, and a wide range of extracurricular sports and activities. We are especially proud of our past participation in the 60 Minute Kids' Club, where our students earned Canada's Most Active School Challenge title for two years running by embracing fun, inclusive, and active living together.

Student Life - Where You Belong

GO TEAM

Student life is shaped by meaningful learning, supportive relationships, and opportunities for every student to discover their strengths. Our classrooms are dynamic spaces where students engage in authentic learning experiences, collaborate with others, and think creatively. They are encouraged to take risks, accept feedback and strive for their personal best. Beyond the classroom, students participate in a wide range of clubs, sports, leadership initiatives, assemblies, performances, and special events, including Running Club, seasonal clubs, and choirs. Throughout the year, we celebrate student achievement, creativity, kindness, and the many ways students contribute to our caring school community.

WHAT SETS US APART

At Brookmill Boulevard Jr. P.S., students, staff, families, and community partners work together to create a welcoming school where everyone can learn, belong, and thrive. Learning extends beyond the classroom as students connect their learning to their community and discover how they can make a positive difference. We are grateful for our dedicated School Council, engaged families, and volunteers, whose partnership strengthens our school every day.

PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Families are valued partners in learning at Brookmill. There are many ways to get involved, from joining School Council or volunteering in classrooms to supporting field trips, special events, and school-wide celebrations like curriculum nights, movie nights, and our Fun Fair. We also recognize that ensuring children come to school on time, well rested and with the materials they need to succeed can sometimes require superhuman strength. Whether you can give your time regularly or occasionally, your involvement enriches our school community.
