Literacy

The focus of the Literacy program at Brookmill is on higher level thinking.  Students are encouraged to use background knowledge and experiences.  Through a variety of High Yield Strategies, teachers are working on enhancing students' ability to make connections and infer meaning in a variety of text and to communicate their understanding clearly and effectively.
