Agincourt Collegiate Institute's Mission Statement

At Agincourt Collegiate Institute, an experienced and dedicated staff and a responsive student body contribute to the achievement of high standards in both curricular and extra-curricular programs.  Students are encouraged to be caring, appreciative and accepting of each other's shared aspirations as well as cultural differences. Students have the opportunity to participate in leadership activities such as athletics, clubs, music ensembles, student leadership councils and student mentoring programs. Parents, staff and students work together to build a safe and caring environment and to foster pride in our ACI traditions.

Alumni and Parent Councils

Agincourt Collegiate enjoys an ongoing and supportive relationship with the Agincourt C. I. Alumni Association. Each year this organization adds voice and face to the school's Remembrance Day observances. In addition, the Alumni provide several generous scholarships to graduates attending post-secondary institutions. Our partnership with parents includes a Traditional School Council, Chinese Parents' Association and a Music Parents' Association.  We are also fortunate to have a supportive community network which offers students COOP and volunteer opportunities.

Student Life - Where You Belong

GO TEAM

We believe that students helping students fosters a sense of family and belonging in the school. Our Mentors welcome newcomers to ACI and run a fun and information filled Orientation Program for our incoming Grade Nine Students.

Our students have a tremendous spirit of giving. Our annual Christmas cheer campaign raises over $6,000 for local charities.  Students also organize disaster relief fund campaigns.

Students can participate in art exhibits, drama productions, music concerts, science fairs, math and robotics competitions, sports, business and technological competitions. Other activities include the Environmental, Stage Crew, Newspaper and Yearbook clubs.  At Agincourt we have over 50 clubs and councils.

Our Agincourt Athletic program boasts three seasons of competition.  Lancers compete in basketball, volleyball, soccer, field hockey, golf, tennis, curling, cross country, rugby, and Ultimate Frisbee, and much more.  For those who are less competitive minded, our Athletic Council offers many intramural opportunities for all our students.

WHAT SETS US APART

We are a desirable destination for students because of our strong reputation for high academic standards, combined with an inclusive and supportive environment that helps students of all backgrounds to succeed.  Over 90 percent of our Grade 12 students advance to post-secondary education.

We also offer strong remedial programs for students who run into difficulties.  Our student success initiatives identify students who are at risk, and staff work with the students to create a plan to help set goals and attain success.

At Agincourt, we are particularly proud of our Student Government. Students, through the Leadership Councils, participate in the development of school initiatives. Special leadership activities train our students to become active participants in both their school and their community at large.

Celebrating our students and recognizing student voice is a priority in our school.  We celebrate student of the month selections.  Many of our graduates receive post-secondary scholarships through the generosity of our community partnerships.

PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

Please visit  our school web site: schools.tdsb.on.ca/agincourtci

Among the largest and most influential of our community partners is our Agincourt School Council. The ACI School Council welcomes parents to join us at our meetings.  The Agincourt Music Parents' Association is a "vital force" in supporting our co-curricular music program. We are fortunate to enjoy the support of a third parent group, the Chinese Parents' Association. All meeting dates and times are posted on our website.
