Milne Valley Middle School's Mission Statement

Milne Valley Middle School is located on Underhill Drive near the Don Valley Parkway and Lawrence Avenue. The school was formerly known as Milneford Junior High School and became a middle school in 1987. Our students come from seven feeder schools : Sloane, Victoria Village, Cassandra, Ranchdale, Three Valleys , Dunlace and Rene Gordon Public Schools. 

Milne Valley's focus is on preparing students both academically and socially for their secondary school careers. Students are challenged to do their best at all times, and the school honours their efforts with a variety of awards.

GO TEAM

Music Programs
We are very lucky at Milne Valley to have a very active Music program. We offer the opportunity for students to attend regular Music classes and follow the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum while playing either a band instrument or a string instrument . When a student arrives at Milne Valley, he or she chooses an instrument to play throughout grades 6, 7 and 8.
 
Sports Activities
There are a great number of sports activities on the go at Milne Valley. Every season brings something new! Here's a list of some teams Milne Valley boasts this year!

Cross Country Running, Girls' Soccer, Boys' Soccer, Boys' Grade 6 Basketball, Boys' Grade 7 & 8 Basketball, Girls' Grade 6 Basketball, Girls' Grade 7 & 8 Basketball, Boys' Grade 6 Volleyball, Boys' Grade 7 & 8 Volleyball, Girls' Grade 6 Volleyball, Girls' Grade 7 & 8 Basketball, Track & Field and Cricket.

Extra-Curricular Activities
In addition to the many Sports and Musical Activities available for students at Milne Valley, our staff members also provide a variety of other opportunities. Here are a few of the exciting events and active clubs running during the school year:
Student Council, Robotics, Study Hall at lunch hour, Math Contests, Science Club and Games Club.

PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

We welcome parents/guardians to volunteer at our school to support student learning, assist with supervision on excursions and to coach teams.  We also welcome members of our community to be members of our School Council.
