Brian Public School's Mission Statement
Brian Public School, located on the east side of Brian Drive, is a valued and integral part of the Pleasant View community. For over fifty years, the school has served families in the area and today welcomes approximately 350 students who represent a rich diversity of languages, cultures, and identities. We are proud of our students’ efforts and achievements and encourage them to strive for personal excellence in both the English and French Immersion programs.
Brian P.S. offers a full-day Kindergarten program, access to outdoor learning spaces, a well-resourced library, and on-site child care services, all of which support student well-being, engagement, and a strong foundation for learning.

WHAT SETS US APART
PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Brian has a very active School Council where community
members run a variety of school and fundraising activities and work in
partnership with the school. Our parent volunteers assist in numerous school
activities: library, play day, fundraising, classroom presentations, classroom
excursions and other special events such as Pizza Lunches.
Several organizations operate permits in the school and we
have two childcare centres: Brian Petits Amis (Pre-school), and YMCA Before and
After School Program (Grade 1-5). We partner with Faculties of Education to
support student-teachers, and also local Colleges to support ECE Students. We
also welcome co-op students from neighbourhood high schools to assist in
the school. International Language programs are offered through
Continuing Education after school on a weekly basis (Greek and Mandarin).
