Student Life - Where You Belong

GO TEAM

Students are actively involved here at Bayview. We have bands, clubs, sports teams and a student initiative, the Student Council. Students are encouraged to voice their ideas and opinions on what activities they would like to take part in and what organizations to raise funds for.
Each grade team is planning curriculum related field trips to enhance the classroom experience, including to the new aquarium in Toronto, to our local secondary school to see a play and concerts as well as other experiences.

WHAT SETS US APART

Partnering with the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration to provide individual support by settlement workers in several languages as part of the SEPT program.
An email communication system is being used to keep parents and guardians updated on school activities.

PARENT AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

A supportive and active School Council engaging the Bayview parents/guardians in many initiatives. We have several joint staff-parent committees that address our areas of focus.
Parents volunteer in a variety of roles (e.g., Safe Arrival, judges for Writing Contests, drivers for athletic events, selection of Grade 8 Valedictorian, etc.).
