West Glen Junior School's Mission Statement

West Glen is a small inner-city junior school, located in the west end of Toronto that serves nearly 200 students, representing 30 different language groups.  With such a variety of cultural groups represented, there are daily opportunities to learn new information about the world around us, making our school truly a "gateway to the world".
School Mission Statement
The mission of the dedicated staff is to empower each individual, through learner-centred programming, to achieve high levels of success and to become lifelong learners. At West Glen Junior School we value: every child's ability to succeed; respect for self and others; a safe, secure environment; collaborative home, school and community connections.

Student Life

West Glen provides students with many different opportunities to develop their social, emotional and physical well being. We take pride in providing a learning culture that is inclusive, safe and takes the whole child into account. There are many student clubs, athletic teams, intramurals, playground  PALS leaders and library programs.
Our "Be the Change" focus allows students to reflect the words of Gandhi and to "be the change they wish to see in the world" through positive social action.
