Health & Safety Issue Observed	insufficient means of communication (ie: PA, radio, etc.)
Health & Safety Issue Details	Staff here said they would prefer to have the new communication system here, (phone) because teachers have been using their personal cell phones whenever they need to speak during classes. This room has runners and if there is an emergency and they cannot find someone in the office, getting help from another teacher is not readily available. They also need more storage to lock away items when not in use.

Corrective Action	Principal to review with Family Team Leader to ensure a communication plan is in place. PA's and telephones are not required in 'service rooms'.
Corrective Action Taken	In touch with Family Team Leader to discuss communication plan. We are on a wait list for a new PA system. We have PA system in every classroom that connects directly with the main office. In addition All Special Needs classes have walkie talkies in their rooms to communicate with each other and the office. Personal cell use is not necessary on a regular basis. We are in the process of looking in to locked storage.
