Google Translate Limitations Disclaimer

The electronic translation service on the Toronto District School Board website is hosted by Google Translate, a third party service. The TDSB does not guarantee or warrant the reliability, accuracy or completeness of any translated information.

The quality of the translation will vary in some of the languages offered by Google. Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 100 languages, but does not capture all languages or dialects.

The basic translation goal is to capture the general intention of the original English material. Before you act on translated information, we encourage you to confirm any facts that are important to you or may affect any decisions you make.

The Toronto District School Board is committed to equity and community engagement, and by providing this tool, we are making our information more accessible to families whose first language is not English.

How to Apply

Step 1: Create an online account in eBase ( with a user name and password. Upload not-for-profit documents to confirm not-for-profit (NFP) or charitable status. Your account will then be activated by the TDSB Permit Unit via email in one business day.

Step 2: Log into eBase and follow the instructions:

•Choose a school from the Priority Schools Initiative list

•Search for space availability and book your chosen location

•Answer all PSI eligibility questions

•Upload insurance or purchase insurance

•Send follow-up questions using the eBase discussion tab

Please note that organizations serving children between the ages of 7 and 12 will be required to submit a child care exemption letter from the Ministry of Education. For more information, please visit the Ministry of Education’s website at   

Please visit the TDSB Permits site for more information on the responsibilities of permit holders. Due to the high volume of applications, please provide at least three weeks’ notice before the start date of your program.
