Central negotiations between the Government of Ontario (the Crown), public school boards represented by the Ontario Public School Boards Association (OPSBA), and teacher federations and education worker unions (including ETFO, CUPE and OSSTF) remain ongoing. The TDSB is currently bargaining locally with CUPE. We anticipate local bargaining with ETFO and OSSTF to commence in the near future.

Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO)

The TDSB has voted to ratify a local agreement with the Board’s 11,141 elementary teachers who are represented by the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario (EFTO) – Elementary Teachers of Toronto (ETT). This local agreement has also been ratified by ETT. Read more.
Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF)

Tentative central agreements (reached in April) with the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) for both teachers and education workers have been ratified by the Ontario Public School Boards' Association (OPSBA) and the union.
Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE)
Update: June 26, 2020
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) has voted to ratify a local agreement with the Board’s 17,700 education workers who are represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 4400. This local agreement has also been ratified by CUPE Local 4400. Read more.
Maintenance & Construction Skilled Trades Council (MCSTC)

The TDSB has reached a tentative local agreement with the Maintenance & Construction Skilled Trades Council (MCSTC). MCSTC is a trades council that represents approximately 760-1000 permanent and temporary maintenance and construction members as well as affiliated trades unions that perform construction and maintenance projects at the TDSB. This local agreement must still be ratified by the Board of Trustees and MCSTC. Read more.
