2016-2017 EQAO Reports

2015-2016 EQAO Reports

The 2015-2016 Education Quality & Accountability Office (EQAO) Assessment reports for the previous academic year have been released. 

The assessments are meant gauge the Reading, Writing, and Mathematics skills of Grade 3 and Grade 6 students across Ontario.

Below I have included the reports for the TDSB schools in Ward 3. 

The report includes overall results, as well as results by gender, English Language Learners (ELL), and Students with Special Education needs (not included Gifted students).

Split Grades Can Work Well, Research Says

Many classes at the TDSB, and across Ontario, operate as split grades, in order to conform to the Ministry of Education's guidelines regarding class sizes. The article linked below is timely in light of the class changes that may have taken place in some schools in early October. 

The article is part of a research-into-practice series produced as a joint venture between The Literacy and Numeracy Secretariat and the Ontario Association of Deans of Education.
