Fix our Schools

As always, Fix Our Schools is grateful for your ongoing support. We launched an Ontario-wide letter-writing campaign today and would ask that you please share it with parent in your Ward.  Thanks for your continued help!  Krista

Below is a quick "blurb" you could use to introduce it ...along with the newsletter that was sent today (see below) or you could simply reference our blog post about this letter-writing campaign at http://fixourschools.ca/2015/11/10/send-a-letter-to-the-province-that-you-want-schools-prioritized-as-key-infrastructure/

The Fix Our Schools campaign has launched an Ontario-wide letter-writing campaign urging the provincial government to increase funding for repairing and rebuilding our schools. You can see details below in their newsletter. Please consider sending the letter that Fix Our Schools has prepared to let the provincial government know you expect Ontario public schools to be funded as critical infrastructure.

Actionable: Ask the Province to increase funding to fix schools!

Now is the perfect time for citizens from across the province to send our provincial government a clear message: Please increase funding to repair and rebuild Ontario's schools.

Click here to send this message to Premier Wynne, Minister Sandals and Ontario's Ombudsman, who recently was given jurisdiction over school boards.

IMPORTANTPlease insert your MPP's email address so your local representative hears from you directly and please also add your name and address to the bottom of the letter before hitting send.

Quotable: From Premier Wynne following the federal election
"Now that we have a federal partner with the same priority, we can do more and we can do it faster"
Agreed! Let's repair and rebuild more public schools in this province - and let's do it faster!

  • This 8-minute documentary was produced by the Campaign for Public Education and drives home the point that all Ontario children deserve to attend school in safe, well-maintained school buildings that provide an environment conducive to learning.
