Weston Collegiate Institute's school motto is:
MANU CORDEQUE "With Hand and With Heart"
Established in 1857, Weston Collegiate holds the distinction of being the second-oldest secondary school in Toronto and in 2007 celebrated its 150th anniversary. Once positioned in the heart of what was the quaint but industrious town of Weston, today, Weston is home to the world, with current students representing 80 countries. As a result, Weston is international in focus and spirit.
We strive to meet the needs of all students in our community by offering courses at the academic, applied and locally developed level. We prepare students for university and college admissions, as well as offer programs in the skilled trades that lead to work or apprenticeship.
International Baccalaureate Program

University Connections
African Diaspora Conference - Our teachers established the first African Diaspora Conference at the University of Windsor. Co-ordinating with the University, this international event, held each May, brings together students from Toronto, Windsor and Detroit, resulting in a formal partnership linking the Toronto District School Board and the University of Windsor.
Creative Performing Arts
The arts are alive and well at Weston! Earn credits and enjoy extra-curricular activities in drama, music and visual art. Our annual showcase for the arts serves as a culminating activity for our student actors, artists and musicians. Our auditorium comes alive with song, sound and theatrical productions, while our cafeteria is transformed into a gallery.
Business Studies
Our business studies program builds a strong foundation for students wishing to move on to further study and train in specialized areas such as management, international business, marketing, accounting, information and communication technology or entrepreneurship. We also provide practical skills to students planning to move directly into the world of business.
Parlez-vous Francais? Habla Espanol?
Our engaging modern languages program offers both French and Spanish, giving you the unique opportunity to broaden your cultural horizons. Our students love the opportunity to put their language skills to practice during our annual student trip to Europe. Over the past few years, our teachers and students have visited England, France, Greece and Italy during March break.
Technological Studies
We offer courses in a wide range of technological areas, including transportation, manufacturing, electrical, photography, design, computer studies and communications. Our technological courses are activity based and project driven, providing students with knowledge, skills and preparation for apprenticeship and post-secondary studies.
