Clinton Public School is located west of Bathurst, south of Harbord and north of College Streets. One of Toronto's oldest schools, it dates back to 1888. The present school was built in 1966 and serves over 400 students. Clinton Public School offers a strong academic program from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school is also home to a Grade 4-6 Gifted program, K-6 Developmental Disability program, K-6 Learning Disability program and before and after school daycare. Clinton is proud of its inclusive character and wide-range of learners.
Arts Program
Clinton has formed a unique Visual Arts Program partnership with Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD) students. OCAD students team-teach weekly art lessons with Clinton teachers. There is an annual Arts Night to showcase student art work. Reptiles and Amphibians
Clinton is home to over 80 geckos, lizards, snakes, turtles and frogs. In caring for these non-human members of the school community, students learn about the needs and characteristics of other species, as well as responsibility and empathy.

Dynamic Music Program
Clinton has a specialist music teacher who delivers a vocal and ORFF-based music program to all students. The school is fortunate to have recorder and strings itinerent music teachers and a school choir. Student talent is showcased at Winter and Spring Concerts as well as at Cafe Clinton, an annual opportunity for staff, parents and students to perform.
Eco-School Certification
Clinton is a Gold Eco Certified School. The school has a litterless lunch and recycling program. It has worked to 'green' its schoolyard by planting new trees and creating an outdoor classroom. Clinton is moving ahead in its greening program by conserving energy and reducing waste. This year's projects - an ABC Learning Garden and reusable water bottle campaign.
Wide-Range of Athletic Programs
Clinton boasts a wide variety of sports teams and houseleagues. The school participates annually in Cross-Country Running and Track and Field Events. It has a qualified Physical Education Instructor and many classroom teachers provide additional coaching support. This year the Girls' Soccer and Touch Football Teams made it to the finals and won pennants.
High Level of Community Involvement
Clinton is known for its high level of parent involvement. The school year calendar has monthly family activities. An active School Council, Friends of Clinton an organization that supports Visual Arts Programming in the school, and a large parent-run, non-profit daycare make the school a community hub.
