City View Alternative Senior School is located on the third floor of Shirley Street Public School near Dundas Street and Brock Avenue. The school has been operating for twelve years.  If you are interested in education for peace and social justice, City View Alternative Senior School may be the place for you.  Many of the subject areas are taught through the lens of race, class, gender, sexuality, and ability.  We share a common philosophy, and parents and students choose the school in order to be engaged in struggles for justice both locally and globally.
City View has 64 students and 4 teachers.  Your child will be challenged every day to connect with the learning and we expect a high level of commitment to the program.

Outreach

In the spring, our students dedicate one full week to volunteer for justice based community and international organizations. Each student volunteers for at least two placements in each year they are at City View. Past placements have included Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Pride Toronto, Romero House, Sistering, and OCAP.
