Cedarbrae Collegiate Institute, one of the largest facilities in the Toronto District School Board, offers strong academic courses, unique and special programs, and an exceptional range of co-curricular activities. In meeting the needs of a diverse, multicultural community, we strive to foster mutual respect, to encourage participation, and to develop life skills.
The school also has a large Extended French and French Immersion program. A wide selection of courses and co-curricular activities are offered in French. Students participate successfully in speech and writing competitions in French. They also are involved in exchanges to locations in Europe in senior years.

Cedarbrae's Tradition
Cedarbrae has a tradition of excellence in core subject areas, including mathematics, English, science, languages, and social sciences. There is a complete range of business, and computer courses. We have a specialized commercial and fine- arts program, including illustration, information design, drawing and painting, desktop publishing. Dramatic arts, drama technology, instrumental music and vocal music are also available. We have developed an Entertainment Technology Special Program for students who are interested in careers in theatre and film working behind the scenes. Co-op education is available in almost every subject in the school.
Technology Program
Our Technology Program offers courses in communications, design and construction, digital photography and a new Woodlinks program in partnership with the Wood Manufacturing Council. You can continue through to apprenticeship programs if you wish.
English as a Second Language
We welcome everyone to our school. We offer extensive English as a second language (ESL) and English literacy development programs such as Language Enrichment Academic Program (LEAP). We begin assisting you when you apply to our school and we continue to support you throughout you school career.
Nutrition for Learning
We offer a full breakfast for any student every school day. Our volunteers prepare a nutrious breakfast based on the Canada Food Guide and the Student nutrician program. we also offera snack program each morning before classes begin.
