The initiative focuses on promoting the best daily teaching practices to improve and sustain learning and achievement for all students and all staff members embrace and share the same high expectations and find common ground to extend student learning.
Hockey Education Reaching Out Society
The goal of this program is about teaching students the skills and the rules of hockey and also instilling in them the HEROE Behaviour Code of Conduct, which encourages positive behaviour through listening, respect, discipline and fun.
The objectives of the RISE Program are to provide a nurturing environment for students of African and Caribbean Heritage, and to explore their culture and history as a means to developing a sense of identity and purpose. This is accomplished through Academic instruction; Drama, Arts and Crafts; Drumming and Dance Training; Extended Field Activities and Natural Nutrition.
SOS - SERVING OUR SENIORS-THANKSGIVING LUNCHEON
Every thanksgiving we have a special day where local seniors are invited to our school for a celebratory lunch. Students, staff and parents prepare the lunch for seniors from our local neighbourhood. The idea is to teach students about providing service to others. Local businesses make donations both financial and in kind, to help us put this event together.
