Claireville Junior School is located in North Etobicoke. The school is just over 45 years old and has undergone two additions. Claireville is home to a staff of more than 35 dynamic professionals and is known for its clean and warm, welcoming environment.
- The Claireville School Community is comprised of over 450 students. More than half of our students speak English as a second language and represent 22 different languages.
- The Silverstone Montessori Daycare is housed in our building and adds an additional 12% student population.
Parent Engagement
We host almost monthly parent evenings in Language, Math, Health and Wellness. Our focus is on supporting all families, especially our ELL Learners.
Another key focus is staff development. Over 65 percent of teachers hold Math AQ Part One with over 50 percent of teachers holding Math AQ Part Two.

What Our School is Planning For This School Year
Using an Appreciative Enquiry framework, we are involving all staff - teachers, educational assistants, lunch-room supervisors, caretakers, parents and the wider community to plan and implement a balanced curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
