East York Collegiate Institute (E.Y.C.I.) is a large, dynamic school community which promotes excellence by building on the strength and diversity of its members. Our strong focus on Student Success ensures that students are supported in their individual academic program, as well as their choice of post-secondary pathway.
Academics
As students work towards the future, each student will follow their own path. Compulsory courses are offered in each of the pathways. There is also a wonderful range of elective courses from which students may choose.
Making the right choices is important, and guidance is available to help chart the path to success.
Athletics
A healthy mind in a healthy body. Students are encouraged to find the balance in their school lives by participating in a variety of athletic activities. EYCI has a rich history of sporting success and offers both male & female teams at both the junior and senior levels.

Arts
Imagine and do! Students can explore visual, musical & dramatic arts at EYCI. Many of the Arts courses connect with co-curricular events at the school: Choir and concert band performances at East York Civic Centre, Drama performances at the Sears Festival, Art displays at the Sir Walter Stewart Public Library, and this year's musical production of Legally Blonde.
Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM)
East York C.I. offers students the opportunity to be awarded a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) in Manufacturing. Those pursuing this SHSM will have the opportunity to explore the changing field of manufacturing through coursework, reach-ahead activities and co-operative education. Students may also choose to take dual credits through local community colleges.
