Trustee Sam Basra Temporarily Withdraws from Board Duties

Toronto, ON, Friday December 14, 2001 –Trustee Sam Basra (Ward 1 Etobicoke North) has today informed Donna Cansfield, Chair of the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) that he has decided to withdraw from any Board related activities until his personal legal matters are resolved.

As the matter involving Trustee Basra is currently before the courts and will be dealt with on January 10, 2002 or thereafter, there will be no further comment from the Board.
