TDSB students rise to the top for Kids' Lit Quiz Competition

This year 10 TDSB teams competed at the Kids’ Lit Quiz Canada Competition. Three TDSB teams made it to the finals as contestant’s competed for a chance to represent Canada in South Africa this July.  Teams of four students worked together to answer a total of 100 questions in ten different categories. After learning the categories only minutes before the event, students chose one of those categories to “double down” for a chance to earn double points for each correct answer in that round.

Bowmore Team A finished second, Dublin Heights third, and Bowmore Team B tied for fourth. All teams were awarded cash prizes and stacks of books to support their love for reading.

Kids’ Lit Quiz Canada is a registered not-for-profit organization run entirely by volunteers. Kids’ Lit Quiz is designed to improve children’s literacy in a fun, meaningful, long-lasting way. Designed around teamwork and competition, the program adds fun to reading for children here and around the world.

Congratulations to all the students who participated this year!
