Mowat’s Christmas Cheer Spreads Across the TDSB

Students at Sir Oliver Mowat CI raise nearly $12,000 for the Toronto Foundation for Student Success!
 
Through their annual Mowat Christmas Cheer campaign, the generous students and families at Sir Oliver Mowat CI have made sure that those who depend on the Toronto Foundation for Student Success won’t be turned away. For two full weeks, students organized and participated in daily fundraisers that raised a staggering $11,800. A warm coat for winter, a pair of boots that don’t leak, a pair of glasses or some food; Mowat has made these things possible for hundreds.

Every year, Mowat students choose a charity to support that directly impacts students. This year, they selected the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS), the arm’s length charity of the TDSB. 

TFSS Executive Director & CEO, Catherine Parsonage was present at the closing assembly to congratulate Mowat students, teachers and staff for their amazing contribution and their community spirit. 

Students helping students – it just doesn’t get any better than this.  Way to go Mowat!
