Congratulations to TDSB Principal Paul Ambrose of Wilfrid Laurier CI who received the Diamond Jubliee Medal on September 8, 2012 at the 8th Annual Community BBQ at the Boys and Girls Club of East Scarborough.
MP John McKay had the honour of presenting the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal to many members of the community including Paul. Each MP was asked to nominate 30 deserving civic leaders for this prestigious award, in acknowledgment of their contributions to the community.
“I was proud to recognize the work of Paul Ambrose with the diamond Jubilee Medal. Wilfrid Laurier CI is now an International Baccalaureate school, and Paul has dramatically increased enrollment and student leadership opportunities by initiating a school-wide focus on character education,” said McKay.
“It is a great honour to receive the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal. I am fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible teaching staff and student body at Laurier who work collaboratively to make valuable contributions to our local community,” said Paul Ambrose.
In 2011, Paul was named one of Canada’s Principal of the Year in 2011. The TDSB would like to congratulate Paul and thank him for his exceptional service to our community.
