Media Statement Regarding the Passing of Shyanne Charles

Today, we learned of the tragic passing of Shyanne Charles, a student at the Toronto District School Board, who lost her life during a senseless act of violence last night.

On behalf of all students, staff and Trustees of the Toronto District School Board, we want to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Shyanne. We share in the sadness felt by all those who knew her. Our thoughts are also with the community and the other victims during this very difficult time.
