TDSB Schools Go Green and Win Big!

Four TDSB schools were rewarded for essays their students wrote describing the great things they do to support the environment at their schools. Congratulations to Annette PS, Agincourt JPS, Brookhaven PS and Heritage Park PS for winning a total of $100,000 worth of prizes.

The 300 word essay submissions were part of the Recycle for Education contest that schools from across Canada were invited to enter. Each winning school will receive $25,000 worth of computer lab equipment from Staples.

Hundreds of applications from across the country were received and thanks to the great environmental initiatives at these schools and the excellent writing skills of the students, the TDSB won four of the twenty available prizes.

Earlier this month, the students from all four schools collectively celebrated their success at Annette PS, along with the support of Trustees, Superintendents, Principals, staff and parents.
