Grade 12 Student's Mission to Raise $20,000 for Free the Children

Bianca Carelli, a Richview Collegiate grade 12 student, is on a mission to raise $20,000 for Free the Children.  A competitive dancer and honours student, Bianca has developed several fundraising events designed to promote healthy and active living. She says, “With so many technological distractions that can often lead to sedentary habits, and with high obesity rates among youth, I believe it is essential for all students to think about their lifestyle choices and take care of their heath.” 

Combining her expertise in dance and interest in healthy choices, Bianca offers fellow students dance class packages that vary from one-hour workshops to 6-week long courses. Lessons run during recess, at lunch and after school hours.

Earlier this year, Bianca was crowned Miss Teen Ontario World 2013. She will be representing Ontario as a delegate for the Miss Teen Canada-World page which takes place in June.
