TDSB staff have been working toward finding alternatives to give students who were unable to take part in the previously scheduled TDESAA (Toronto District Elementary Schools Athletics Association) cross-country meets the opportunity to experience a Fall cross-country run.
We are happy to share that dates and locations have been determined. For schools in the west, the run will take place on Friday, October 12 at Earl Bales Park. For schools in the east, the run will take place on Monday, October 15 at Sunnybrook Park. The start time for both events is 9:45 a.m. and the approximate end time is 2:30 p.m.
These runs will only be open to students who did not officially participate in the previously scheduled TDESAA meets. It is also important to note that students will be running as individuals and not as school teams and as these are not TDESAA events, they are not considered qualifiers for the City Championships.
Parents may bring their children to the run, however they must remain on-site at all times to supervise them.
Rest assured that our TDSB Excursion Policy and the Ontario Safety Guidelines will be followed. As these excursions will be organized by individual schools, parents/guardians should contact their school administration for more information.
