EQAO results for TDSB show continued improvement in all subjects

Toronto, ON, September 15, 2010Results released today by the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) reveal an overall positive improvement in all subjects and all subgroups for the TDSB. This indicates that the programs and resources in place to support literacy and mathematics at the TDSB are working, as student achievement continues to improve over the long-term.

The EQAO requires annual assessments of Ontario students in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics in the primary division (Grades 1–3) and junior division (Grades 4–6) and the Grade 9 assessment of mathematics.
