September 5 - At the first regular meeting of the 2012/2013 school year, Trustees with the Toronto District School Board discussed a number of matters that developed over the summer and welcomed back students and staff for another year.
Committee reports approved by the Board included the progress report on the measures being taken to improve management and processes within the TDSB’s Facilities Services Department. In an update to Trustees, Director of Education Dr. Chris Spence reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to improve this area of operations.
The Board also adopted motions to recognize the week of October 1, 2012 as Jamaican 50th Anniversary Week and the week of October 8, 2012 as Trinidad and Tobago 50th Anniversary Week throughout the school district.
