Toronto, ON, December 1, 2008 – John Campbell, Trustee for Ward 2 Etobicoke Centre has been re-elected as the Chair of the Toronto District School Board after a vote by the Board’s 22 Trustees at this evening’s board meeting. Chris Bolton, Trustee for Ward 10, Trinity-Spadina was elected as vice-chair.
“It is an honour to be Chair of the TDSB,” said Campbell. “The upcoming year will be one of promise and progress.”
A Trustee since 2003, John Campbell is father of two teenage daughters. Prior to first being elected Chair in 2007, John served as Chair for the Board’s Administration, Finance and Accountability Committee for three years.
The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10.
