Full-Day Kindergarten

Full-Day Kindergarten means students will attend Kindergarten for the entire school day. This includes a morning and afternoon schedule and a lunch break.

Full-Day Kindergarten provides support for our youngest learners. It helps prepare them for future success and provides a balance of direct instruction and play-based learning focused on reading, writing, communication and math skills.

Starting school is an exciting time of many firsts for all children. School staff work in partnership with families to support all children's individual learning needs as they transition to Full-Day Kindergarten.

A Kindergarten team works in partnership in the classroom to help young students learn and grow. This team approach brings out the best in children through play-based learning, guided by the Ministry of Education's Full-Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program.

In September 2012, the TDSB will be implementing Phase Three of Full-Day Kindergarten.
