  • System Wide Parent Engagement – Parent Involvement Advisory Committee (PIAC)
  • School Councils and Insurance

Parent Engagement in TDSB – All you wanted to know

This workshop will explore:

  • Getting Involved in your child’s education
  • School Council (Regulation 612/613)
  • Volunteering in Schools
  • School Council Budgets/Funding/Insurance
  • Parent Protocol (process for dealing with parent concerns)

Understanding Middle and Secondary School Program and Options

Understanding all of the options available at the secondary level can be challenging, this session will engage parents/guardians in a dialogue about the following

  • Working with your child to set goals for the future
  • Understanding/tracking the requirements for graduation
  • Various pathways (options) for students
  • Accessing information on Secondary and Post-Secondary options (Blueprint)
