Getting ready for Your Certification Audit: The Look-fors

The certification audit, like a summative task, is meant to be an opportunity for learning and for acknowledging effort—not a test to be dreaded! Our goal is that the audit be really helpful, and a pleasure for everyone who is involved.

This guide consists of photos illustrating the audit “look-fors” and ways that schools have communicated about their work in each section of the program (only section 5 has none). Tools from the Certification Toolkit that can help with specific tasks are also listed. Its purpose is to serve as a quick reminder of the specific things that the auditor will want to see.
