SuperCouncil:  It’s all about Student Voice!

Student Voice

Student Voice is the collective voice of all students in the TDSB.

TDSB Student Body

The TDSB Student Body is all of the students in all of the schools in the Toronto District School Board: over a quarter of a million students. SuperCouncil represents and advocates for the TDSB Student Body. Its mandate is to make your voice heard!  We provide pillars of support and communication liasions which further the needs, interests, and welfare of all Toronto District School Board students.

Much like the SAC or Student Government at your own high school, we hold meetings throughout the year.  Our web of meetings include  Executive Meetings, Quadrant Meetings and Sub-Committee Meetings. At these meetings we discuss issues and concerns, plan initiatives, organize retreats and conferences, and most important of all, we build a bridge of communication between the TDSB Student Body and the Boardroom.

Throughout the year, SuperCouncil holds a number of Events to foster student leadership across the board.

SuperCouncil is constantly working to increase the range of Student Leadership Resources available to the TDSB Student Body.

To go along with our mandate of providing a strong Student Voice, we have spearheaded many initiatives over the years. Each spring we hold a Leadership Retreat, where developing student leaders can hone their skills. Shortly after the Retreat, we hold an Elections Conference, where interested candidates run for a position on next year's SuperCouncil Executive. These are just a few examples of our annual initiatives, but which each year comes a different council, and different initiatives to help strengthen the student voice in the TDSB. Stay tuned for more information about what we are up to for 2009/20010.

So what are you waiting for? Get involved! Stay informed! Come on out to the meetings in your Quadrant and have a say in what goes on in your school board!
