Welcome

Thank you for visiting my Trustee Website. As your elected representative to the TDSB, I have a dual role as constituency representative to advocate on your behalf, whether you are a concerned parent, student or community member and as a member of the governing body of trustees, known collectively as the "Board". I truly believe everyone has a role to play in a thriving public education system that supports each and every student to do their very best.

As the last several years have demonstrated, decisions made by the Toronto District School Board have a direct impact on not only on our schools, but on our diverse city. It is also my role to keep you informed on what is happening at the Board, including policies under review, program updates, and discussions around new initiatives to improve student success.

This website is intended to support and encourage your direct participation in our public school system. Here you can find out what's on the latest Board agenda, learn about opportunities to be involved such as the Ward 11 Forum access up-to-date event information or read my weekly updates (via the links on the left-hand side of this page).

If you are unable to find the information you need, please feel free to contact Kim Beauchesne – TDSB Administrative Liaison who will be supporting me and will answer my phone during office hours. Kim can also be reached directly at 416-397-3063 or via e-mail at Kim.Beauchesne@tdsb.on.ca. For questions specific to Ward11, please feel free to contact Jeanette Hughes who will be providing community support as my Constituency Assistant. Jeanette can be reached at Jeanette.Hughes@tdsb.on.ca.

I am always anxious to learn more about your local school successes, issues and priorities. If you have something to share or wish to speak with me directly, please do not hesitate to contact me at 416-397-3094, or e-mail me at Shelley.Laskin@tdsb.on.ca.
