How to do Business with TDSB

Supplies, equipment, and services are acquired through a competitive process that ensures the best value for the funds expended to meet the specific needs and promote fair dealings and equitable relationships.

Purchases of goods/services over $100,000 are made by Requests for Tender (RFT) or Requests for Proposals (RFP). Consulting services over $50,000 are made by Request for Proposal.  

Construction/Maintenance contractors must be prequalified with the Board to be eligible to bid on projects under $1,500,000. Request for Prequalification is used for Construction projects over $1,500,000 and advertised on MERX and BiddinGo electronic bulletin boards. Construction tenders are opened in public where practical.

All RFTs and RFPs, except as noted above, are posted on two nationally accessible electronic bulletin boards - www.merx.com & www.biddingo.com.
