What is the benefit of the program?
After you complete the program, you will improve your English language skills at least by one level.  You will get detailed knowledge of the Canadian workplace and an insight into how Canadian businesses operate. You will get hands on experience through placement in a Canadian corporation and valuable information on the business industry through the leadership of a mentor.

How long does it take to get an appointment?

Our goal is to set up an appointment as soon as possible

 

What documents do I need to register?

Language Assessment Certificate from a language assessment centre, or LINC 5 completed certificate. Proof of immigrant status, such as S.I.N card or Permanent resident card, or letter of acceptance as a conventional refugee.

 

What do I need to get started?

Completed LINC level 5 certificate or Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) assessment 6 or higher, in listening, speaking, reading and writing

 

What will this program cost me?

Nothing, it is free for eligible students. TTC tokens are provided for transportation as well.

 

What does this program cover?

Business writing, resume writing, interview skills, telephone skills, starting your own business, meeting and presentation skills and job search skills.

 

How long is the program?

The program is an 8-week in class Monday thru Friday 9:00am – 2:30 pm followed by a work placement of 144 hours covering 4-6 weeks, or mentorship of 24 hours over 4-6 weeks.  

 

This project is funded by the Government of Canada
