Do you need to improve your skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing English in the WORKPLACE? The Enhanced Language Training Program (ELT) allows you to:

·         Improve your English for the Canadian workplace

·         Increase your chances for employment

·         Secure job placements

·         Get connected with a mentor

·         Gain Canadian work experience

What is ELT?

The Enhanced Language Training (ELT) program was created to provide higher levels of English language training to newcomers that will help them carry out successful job searches and work effectively in our workplaces.  ELT will provide bridge-to-work assistance through our mentorship program and job placement services.

The Enhanced Language Training program offered by the Toronto District School Board aims to improve your English language levels by providing you with eight weeks of English Language Instruction, and provides you with a work placement for up to six weeks.  In addition, we can also connect you with a mentor who will provide you with valuable information on the occupation of your choice and how to network to find a job.   A mentor will spend approximately 24 hours over a period of four to six weeks.
