e-Credits
| e-Credit Course Program – A Re-engagement Strategy Semester 2, 2012-13 Registration opens Monday, October 15, 2012 and closes on Friday, February 22, 2013. What is the e-Credit Course Program? The e-Credit Course Program is for students seeking to earn credits online. Students 18 years of age and older who are no longer attending school are now able to take an e-Credit Course online. Students complete their credits by learning in an online classroom with the option to meet face to face with their teachers on a weekly basis, where they work both independently and collaboratively with their classmates and their teacher. How does the e-Credit Course Program work? The TDSB is committed to high standards for distance learning and understands the importance of the student-teacher interaction; it is key to student success. For this reason, we encourage all of our students to attend the online class regularly and to connect with their teacher face to face at the designated school site or by telephone or through web conferencing. Students must adhere to the course schedule and all due dates. Students with initiative who take responsibility find success in the online environment. This ability to prioritize builds a strong work ethic thereby preparing them for post-secondary studies. |
