Outdoor Education offers students curriculum based, “beyond the indoor classroom” learning experiences. The aim of these experiences is to awaken students to their connection to the built and natural world around them.
Specialist High Skills Major: Health and Wellness
The SHSM is a career focused, ministry-approved specialized program that allows students to focus on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
Offered at several TDSB secondary schools, the Specialist High Skills Major–Health and Wellness provides students with a knowledge and skills foundation for pursuing a range of career possibilities in the health and wellness sector, In order to qualify for this special designation on their Ontario Secondary School diploma, students must complete a number of components, including specialized credit courses, industry certifications, and a co-op placement.
