It is evident that an integral component for educating students today is to provide them with the skills necessary to become responsible members of our school and wider community.
Character Education
Character Education continues to be a focus for our school. We promote social awareness and responsible citizenship through various school wide initiatives such as Adopt a Village, Food Bank Donations, and Christmas Hampers. Monthly Future Aces Assemblies are held to recognize and honour students who demonstrate character traits such as respect, responsibility, empathy, kindness and caring, teamwork, fairness, honesty, cooperation, integrity and perseverance. In addition to individual recognitions, one class is also designated as the "Top Note Class" for the month for their outstanding efforts in Character Education.
Code of Behavour and Uniforms
The staff, students and Parent Council have collaboratively developed MacMillan's Code of Behaviour. Our Code of Behaviour includes the wearing of a school uniform for all students. All of our school policies are available on our school Homepage.
Co-curricular Activities
At MacMillan, a wide range of co-curricular activities are provided for the students. Our programs are divided into the 4 A's (Academics, Arts, Athletics and Attitude).
