For over seventy years, Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute has been an important part of the North Toronto community. From the school's inception, Lawrence Park's teachers, students and parents have worked together to support academic excellence. The school remains committed to providing a rich and varied program. We encourage higher order thinking and teach students the research and study skills required for effective use of information technology.

Academics
We are very proud of our students and their achievements while recognizing that there is always room for growth and improvement. Our goal is to improve on last year's achievements. Over 50% of our graduates are Ontario Scholars and historically 90% of our grade 9 students have graduated from Lawrence Park. In addition, 35% of our graduating students were offered university scholarships last year and 96% of our grade 10 students were successful on the Province-wide Literacy Test in 2009.
Student Leaders
Lawrence Park fosters the development of leadership skills with our students through the activities of various councils: Buddies, Music, Drama, Boys' Athletic Board, Girls' Athletic Board, Visual Art, Harmony, Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving, Empowered Student Partnership and the Panther Print newspaper with a Laureat section for foreign language submissions.
