Student Engagement
A student's ability to function at school is directly related to their level of engagement. At Bowmore, students are given many opportunities to shine outside the classroom. Bowmore offers a wide variety of sports teams and clubs. Every year, Bowmore students are attend overnight trips where their understanding of the curriculum expectations is enriched. Bowmore offers a strong student parliamentary system where leadership skills are developed and honed. Bowmore is also known for the Bowmapalooza Variety Show where students showcase their strong love of the performing arts.

We are fostering a strong focus on Literacy and Numeracy that aligns with the focus of both the Ministry of Education and our SE6 Family of Schools. Timetables are driven by blocking large chunks of time where students can delve deeper in their learning and develop a greater and more authentic understanding of the expectations of the Ontario Curriculum. Bowmore's Teaching Staff are involved in many cutting edge Professional Development Activities that focus on the 'Teaching Learning Critical Pathway' to ensure that our students are given the highest level of instruction based on current research.
