Welcome to Pineway!
Pineway Public School is a dynamic Learning Community. We strongly believe that we play a vital role, with our community partners, in fostering life-long learning and high standards for student success. Pineway embraces relevant curriculum, equity of access and opportunity, and accountability in a nurturing, engaging, and safe school environment. We believe that every child can learn and achieve success when supported in an inclusive, equitable, caring environment in partnership with home and community. The school which opened 40 years ago is situated in a largely residential (single and multiple-family dwelling) community, near Finch and Leslie in the northeast corner of the Toronto District School Board, Ward 12.

Parent Council

We have a very dedicated and active parent council. They support our
school in a variety of ways, such as volunteering in classrooms and organizing fund raisers. They hold regular meetings at the school.
Pineway serves 240 students who represent 25 different language groups. Primary languages other than English include Chinese, Farsi/Persian, Korean, Tamil, Somali, Twi, Arabic, West Indies Patois/Creole, and Gujarati. Over 65% of the students speak English as a second language and more than 25% of our students' parents come from the English-speaking Caribbean.
