Welcome to Kindergarten with The Learning Partnership
In the year before starting school, parents/caregivers and their children are invited to attend a Welcome to Kindergarten family orientation at their neighbourhood school. At the orientation, families participate in activities, meet teachers and school staff and are given resources to prepare children for school and learning. Families are encouraged to continue to use the resources and activities in the months before their children start kindergarten and during the first few months in school.
Community and Faith Walks
Toronto is among the most diverse cities in the world and is home to people of every culture, language group and religion. To help our school-based staff understand their community better and be responsive and relevant in their teaching, we support community and faith walks. These walks provide our educators with tools and first-hand experiences in creating curriculum and learning environments that are culturally responsive and locally relevant.

By being a part of your local Parent Academy, you can help determine which programs are best for your school community.
