Executive-Compensation Program

Board’s Final Executive Compensation Program Receives Approval from Ministry of Education

On December 20, 2017 the Ministry of Education approved the Toronto District School Board’s Executive Compensation Program.

The Board’s Program complies with the Government of Ontario's Broader Public Sector Executive Compensation Act of 2014 (BPSECA) that requires broader public sector designated employers, including school boards, to develop and adopt Executive Compensation programs to ensure a responsible, transparent and consistent approach to managing executive salaries.

At the Toronto District School Board, executive salaries include the Director of Education, Associate Directors of Education, Executive Superintendents and Superintendents of Education.

To guide the Toronto District School Board in finalizing its proposed executive compensation program, trustees sought input from staff, parents, students and community members. We conducted a 30-day online public consultation on the proposed Executive Compensation Program from November 13 to December 13, 2017.

As per Regulation, our final Executive Compensation Program and the Letter of Approval from the Ministry of Education are now posted on our website (see the links on the right side of this page).

We thank everyone who provided input on our Program during the public consultation.
